On Wednesday, 6/22/05, my group had their presentation in Cyberlaw on the internet laws of the United Kingdom. I actually had to look up the exact definition of the UK, to know how it was different from England, Britain and Great Britain. The presentation went well and after class we took a full class/program picture out in the garden.
After lunch, I had a good nap and then went shopping for some food at the supermarket. While I was in line, there was an old lady only buying two things. The lady behind her let her pass and then I let her pass. She was so excited to go in front and made a comment in Spanish about having such great fortune. It made me feel good inside.
For dinner, I took the girls out for a goodbye/thanks dinner. They were great friends throughout the trip and I wanted to thank them for really making an impression on my life and being such great friends. The food was great and as always the conversation was entertaining.
At night, I finally got to watch the pirated version of Star Wars III. I’m sure I’ll see it again, but it wasn’t amazing, but it did keep my attention. All I got from it was, guys do dumb things for women.
On Thursday, 6/23/05, we had an optional class in Cyberlaw, which I did not go to. I was feeling a bit sick, but am hoping I don’t get sicker when the exam comes around. I had some transcript trouble with SMU, but finally got in all the paperwork I needed.
My last comparative class was uneventful and all I could think of was that all it meant was that I couldn’t be absent to that class again. Lunch was boring and then I when home and studied for my exam the next day. I put in a lot of time and tried to reread most of the cases, but did not make an outline like some of the other students. At night, we went to the bowling place and just like the place I buy my ice cream, they were on vacation. So we decided to try this other burger place where we had to argue with them to let us eat inside.
Friday, 6/24/05, I wake up early and take my final in Cyberlaw. The exam was hard, but fair and I really have no clue how I did. I am glad I am done now with that class and I can’t wait to be done with the semester. I found out after the exam that the Spurs are the new world champs in basketball. I was very excited to hear that, but it sucks that I didn’t get to watch the games.
After lunch, I start writing my final for comparative. I had to type it up and then handwrite it. I spent most of the day on it, but probably spent more time handwriting what I typed. It had been a very long time since I had done that. I finally turned it in before dinner and rejoiced to finally be done.
We went to eat at the Italian place, but they wouldn’t let us in, so we had some drinks at the blue frog. We returned, ate dinner and then went to the red frog. We saw everyone there and had a great time. We ended up at this pool hall place, where I found out a lot of information about students in my program and all the hooking up that took place.
